Transparent Data Channel (TDC) is a Radio Data System (RDS) feature that is very seldom used.

While spending a few days in Barcelona (Catalonia, Spain), I noticed that Catalunya Ràdio makes a real use of TDC. Two stations, Catalunya Ràdio and Catalunya Informació, use a TDC channel to transmit news headlines and traffic information about suburban trains (Rodalies).

I adapted RDS Surveyor to decode the data. The following screenshot shows the result (click to enlarge).
